OUR PROGRAMS

THINK ABOUT WHY YOU STARTED

The most difficult part of starting a program is committing to begin.

What is the motivation that brought you here today?

What is it you are looking to find?

Are you new to a workout routine and hoping to learn the basics?

Are you an elite athlete committed to taking your training to the next level?

Do you want to get stronger? Run your first 5k or improve your current time?

We welcome all levels and our classes can be tailored to meet all these goals.

All you need to do is take the first step.

YOGA/RWB/OPEN GYM

N'Tense Fitness supports the Red, White, and Blue (RWB), which is a program for veterans.

The first and third Wednesday of the month we have a specific time set aside for veteran workouts.  This time can also be used by members for open gym where they can work on individual challenges.

N'Tense Fitness also partners with a local yoga instructor to provide once-a-week yoga classes for members at no additional cost.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I Am Nervous About Starting...the Classes Sound Intimidating and Intense!  Am I in Good Enough Shape to Participate?

Jumping into the unknown can be something uncomfortable for all of us, but don't let uncertainty keep you from something you want.  You CAN do this and you will be surrounded by a community who cares about you, your goals, and results.  You may find that there is a learning curve as we coach you through proper technique and movements, but with time and dedication you will improve.  We will work with you to make sure exercises are modified to your individual level.  All levels are welcome.  The space is non-intimidating and the environment is one of support and teamwork.

We all need to start somewhere, don't let the fear of the unknown keep you back.  Give us a month and you will see increased confidence in your abilities and overall improvement across the board.

I Am Dealing with a Past (or Current) Injury - Can I Still Take Your Classes?

Of course!  Dealing with a current or past injury can be incredibly frustrating.  You do not want to lose the momentum you have gained and we want to make sure you are able to continue at a level appropriate for the injury.  All of our programs can be modified and we will work with you to ensure you do not re-injure or worsen an existing injury.

What is a Typical Class Like?

At N'Tense Fitness you will fine each day is different from the one before.  Unlike other gyms or fitness classes we do not specifically focus on leg day, shoulder day, etc - but work the entire body and core in each class.  Our classes begin with a short warm-up, followed by a workout either in the style of Every Minute on the Minute (EMOM), As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP), or a prescribed workout routine.  Each day ends with an ab after burner and members are encouraged to stay after (or come early) to work on things they are hoping to improve.  Classes are designed to build endurance and stamina while integrating recovery.  We incorporate everything from kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, jump ropes, running, and the stationary bike to pullups, pushups, wall balls, slam balls, rings, and handstands.

Do You Have Showers?  What Should I Bring to Class?

Unfortunately, we do not have showers, but we do have a bathroom and changing area if you need to get  ready at the gym!  Come in your comfortable workout clothes and bring a positive attitude.  Water and towels are available if you need it.

Who Takes Your Classes?

Individuals of all levels, ages, fitness goals and abilities take our classes.  We serve not only the conditioned athlete but those who are willing and ready to push themselves.  Many of our members join as a family and/or couple to take advantage of our reduced prices.  You will find members who have a military background and those who are just trying a fitness program for the first time.  Come join us for your first class and free week to see if we are the right fit for you!
